    C-A-T Combat Tourniquet Belt GEN7 Black

     
    Despite the proven effectiveness of the Combat Application Tourniquet, the new C-A-T GEN7 makes it even easier and faster to use.
     
    All 6 of its elements have been redesigned and improved in the C-A-T GEN7 turnstile.
    1. One-way buckle: The one-way buckle further reduces blood loss, requires fewer pin turns while making the C-A-T GEN7 simpler to train to deploy.
    2. Fuze: The fuze in the new CAT Gen7 has a larger diameter, enhanced strength and most importantly non-slip contact thus helping to place it in battlefields and in situations where the hands of the injured or the rescuer do not have the best grip. Torch Locking
    3. Hook: The torch locking hook allows the torch to enter from any side the user desires. This means that the user can put the pin on the hook by either turning it clockwise or counterclockwise.
    4. Spindle Strap: New reinforced gray strap with Velcro closure that provides extra security to the spinner so it stays in place. In addition, it is marked "Time" on it so that the rescuer can record the time when the tourniquet was applied to the casualty.
    5. Stabilization Buckle: Reinforced, chamfered contact bar maintains the integrity of the stabilization buckle and reduces skin injury.
    6. Inner Strap: The strap of the C-A-T GEN7 has a Velcro strip along it so that it offers even more stability during its application while a second, inner strap (free movement) distributes peripheral pressure equally.

    The Combat Application Tourniquet (C-A-T) is a true one-handed tourniquet. It has the ability to plug the arterial and venous unstoppable bleeding of a major wound. The C-A-T uses a clamping handle with an internal strap, which is free to move providing true circulatory pressure to the limb (hand – foot).
     
    Once tightened and bleeding has stopped, the clamping handle can be locked. A Velcro strap is then applied to further secure the clamping handle during transport of the casualty to the hospital.
     
    It stops in seconds the uncontrollable bleeding of the limbs even from ballistic wounds.
