The HI935001 is a waterproof Type K portable thermocouple for the food professional required to monitor temperature as part of a hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) plan, including food service, production, packaging, transportation, restaurants or focus.
The HI935001, as a counter, can measure over a wide temperature range from -50.0 °C (-58.0 °F) to 300 °C (572 °F) and offers a very high accuracy of ±0.4 °C ( ±0.7 °F).
Meter accuracy is ensured with advanced diagnostic features, including CAL-Check which checks for abnormal drift of internal electronics, Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) which will not allow a measurement to be taken when there is insufficient battery power, and sensor diagnostics which alert the user when the sensor is not connected or damaged.
The HI935001 Foodcare thermometer is supplied with the replaceable FC766PW K-Type thermocouple sensor that will reach 90% of the final reading within 15 seconds.
The tip of the FC766PW is only 3 mm (0.12″) in diameter allowing easy penetration into solids and semi-solids.
The AISI 316 stainless steel body is 155 mm (6.1″) long and is food contact safe according to Regulation (EC) 1935/2004.
CAL Check: The HI935001's CAL Check feature is an internal diagnostic function that checks for drift in the electronics that occurs with all digital thermometers over time. When the meter is rotated, the CAL check checks if the internal calibration is within +/- 0.3 °C. If the offset is greater and an error message (err) will be displayed. With the CAL Check you can be sure the meter is working properly.
Low Battery Indicator: The included AAA batteries provide 3500 hours of continuous use. When the battery level is below 10%, a warning symbol will flash to indicate the low battery condition. When low battery power may affect your results, the meter will shut down to avoid false readings caused by low battery.
Missing or Corrupted Probe Messages: The “NO PROBE” message appears on the meter when no thermocouple probe is attached. If the sensor is damaged, the message will appear along with four flashing dotted lines. For an accurate temperature measurement it is important to know that not only is the meter working correctly but that the sensor is OK.
Fast Response Detector: FC766PW K-Type Thermocouple that will reach 90% of final reading within 15 seconds.
Small Penetration Tip: The tip of the FC766PW is only 3mm (0.12″) in diameter allowing for easy penetration into solids and semi-solids.

Large LCD: An improved LCD screen displays measurement reading in oC or oF, stability indicator, error messages and low battery indicator.
Stability Indicator: An hourglass reading is displayed on the LCD screen until a stable reading is reached. Once a reading is stabilized, the reading disappears and a measurement can be taken.
Auto Power Off: The meter can be set to automatically turn off after 8 minutes or 60 minutes to save battery life if the meter is left on. The auto-off feature can also be disabled.
