    Absorbable Sutures Ethicon Vicryl 4/0 round needle 20mm 75cm W9113

     
     The VICRYL absorbable suture is one of the most well-known absorbable sutures worldwide. It is braided for easy handling and secure knotting. This suture has a special lining to reduce friction, the smooth transition to the skin tissue as well as its easy tying. Its properties make it ideal for many applications where an absorbable suture is required. It is synthetic for minimal tissue reaction.    

     

     Thread strength after application of :

    • 14 days: about 75%
    • 21 days: 50% (6-0 and above), 40% (7-0 and below)
    • 28 days: 25%
       

     Absorption:

    • By Hydrolysis. Full absorption in 56-70
       

     Indications: The VICRYL suture is recommended to be used for the retention in contact and the convergence of soft tissues, even in ophthalmological operations, peripheral nerve adaptation and microoperations of vessels smaller than 2 mm in diameter.
