At the same time, the Littmann Classic III stethoscope is used by both students and healthcare professionals to detect, hear and study heart, lung and other body sounds, for physical assessment, patient monitoring and diagnosis.
Littmann Classic III Stethoscope Features:

Dual-Frequency Diaphragm technology—a 3M patent—allows the clinician to hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the bell of the Classic III stethoscope: Hold the bell of the Classic III with light pressure to hear the low-frequency sounds. Press a little more to hear the higher frequency sounds. This feature of the Classic III stethoscope saves time and allows the healthcare provider to focus on the patient, while the anti-freeze bezel ensures patient comfort.
The earpiece tension force of a Classic III stethoscope is easily adjusted for head size and desired comfort by pushing the metal earpieces together in or out. The soft and form-fitting earcups adapt to each ear, for excellent sound isolation and a comfortable fit. The olives snap firmly onto the edges of the Classic III's earpieces and, for safety reasons, require special effort to remove. The durable new-generation lumens of the Classic III stethoscopes retain their shape and flexibility even when folded tightly in a pocket. They provide longer stethoscope life due to improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and are less likely to accumulate stains. The new generation lumens are not made of natural rubber latex, to avoid skin irritation of healthcare professionals and their patients.
