The MESI MD screening device has been developed exclusively for use in primary care. The device measures simultaneous measurement of arm and ankle pressures, delivering accurate ankle brachial index (ABI) results in just a few seconds.
In addition to measuring ABI, the MESI MD can be used as a standalone unit to measure brachial blood pressure.
The device is supplied with three shaped and colour-coded cuffs for use on both patient's ankles and upper arm. This speeds up the measurement process and helps prevent cardiac overload.
A sophisticated error detection system helps identify critical ischemia, patient movement and incorrect cuff placement. Results are displayed on a clear, colour LCD display which guides the user through the operation of the unit, reducing training time and improving patient outcomes.
The MESI MD can be connected via USB to a PC or laptop, allowing results to be saved and printed. The unit's built-in lithium rechargeable battery allows approximately 50 measurements and makes the unit highly portable and suitable for domiciliary use.
