• Hyperbilirubinemia is a common condition in newborn babies and can cause jaundice if not treated properly. Therefore, bilirubin in newborns should be checked immediately and easily so that it can be detected and treated in time
• Repeated blood sampling to measure serum bilirubin is laborious and causes stress for the infant, while at the same time increasing the workload of the nursing staff, and of course, it is not easily accepted by the parents

• Measuring bilirubin by the "transcutaneous technique" is fast and simple, and it is easy to perform repeated measurements over time, thus reducing the possibility of error
• Transcutaneous measurements with the bloodless diathermic bilirubinometer will meet most screening needs in newborn infants or older than 35 weeks' gestation, although serum bilirubin measurements are still required when treatment with phototherapy or blood transfusion is administered2
• The bloodless bilirubinometer KJ-8000 is only applicable to newborn babies, older than 35 weeks of gestation and up to 4 weeks of age
• The measurement range of the devices is from 0.0 mg/dL to 20.0 mg/dL
