How to Start an ECG Recording To start an ECG recording, place the right palm on the right electrodes of the monitor. Then position the left electrode on the area of the body to be measured. Gently press the function button to start the ECG recording. After a short wait of 30 seconds, precise measurements will be displayed. To start another ECG recording, press the Start/Stop button, return to the home screen, and press the function button again.
