Ship Categories:

• Coastal Navigation: Navigation between ports of the state, where the ship is no more than 6 miles from the coast, as well as Category C passenger vessels.
• National & International Coastal Navigation: Navigation between ports of the state or other states, where the ship is no more than 20 miles from the coast, as well as Category B passenger vessels.
• Local Navigation: Navigation within ports, harbors, estuaries, canals, and lagoons, where the ship is no more than 3 miles from the coast, as well as Category D passenger vessels.
• Inshore Fishing: Marine fishing up to 40 miles from the coast.
• Recreational Boating Without Limits: Conducted by recreational boats with crew engaged in charter activities.
